Fearless Neighboring

In this clip from our exploration of the Good Samaritan parable, we're challenged to rethink our ministry domain and embrace inconvenience for the sake of others.

Jesus uses this familiar story to radically expand our understanding of who our 'neighbor' truly is. The priest and Levite, bound by religious duties, pass by the injured man. But it's the Samaritan - despised by Jews - who shows true compassion. This unexpected twist forces us to confront our own prejudices and limited views of who deserves our help. The message is clear: our 'neighbor' is anyone in need, regardless of their background or our preconceptions.

As followers of Christ, we're called to 'fear less and get our hands dirty,' stepping out of our comfort zones to serve others. This may mean embracing inconvenience, adjusting our schedules, or even facing social disapproval. But in doing so, we embody the radical love of Jesus, who counted the cost and still chose to save us.
